We realize our current hours do not afford all families an opportunity to see the school counselor to discuss individual student goals on ensuring they are college, career and citizen ready. In meeting one our academic strategic goals "Community Connections" high school counselors are reaching out to support families by offering extended hours each month.

An Achievable Dream is a unique partnership between Newport News Public Schools, the City of Newport News, and the local business community to give our students who are at risk of failure in school due to socioeconomic factors, a chance to succeed.
